The Upshur County Pool and Recreation Park was constructed in the early 1980s after receiving a grant from Senator Rockefeller IV, then Governor Rockefeller IV. Since then the Recreation Park has provided fun summer activities for people of all ages to enjoy. The park features an Olympic size swimming pool, small and large pavilions, a playground, a basketball court, and tennis courts. The park is open to the public during the summer months, from Memorial Day weekend through mid-August. The swimming pool is open to the public from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm Monday-Saturday and 12:30-5:30 on Sundays
